OUR LABEL PRINTING EXPERTISE

Cohesion Labels might be almost 100 years old, but we’re young at heart. As WA’s most experienced label producer, we combine a history that stretches back to 1925 with the industry’s most modern and innovative mindset.

If you can imagine it, we’ll make it stick. And if you can’t imagine it, we can do that for you! We deliver dangerous goods labels your way.

CAN I CUSTOMISE DANGEROUS GOODS LABELS?

Because dangerous goods labelling is established in law, the look of the labels can’t be altered – their design is fixed to ensure that they are universally understood.

One way that you may be able to customise your use of a dangerous goods label is in choosing where to place it on your product packaging. If you’re looking to develop a product label or package that features dangerous goods labelling, our in-house design team is ready to help. We bring a wealth of experience in product label design, and are able to create something simple, or a custom product label that looks great and delivers all the information that it needs to!

WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU NEED ON A DANGEROUS GOODS LABEL?

As a heavily regulated category of substances, dangerous goods must be labelled in a very specific way. As mentioned above, specific colours, pictograms, words and numbers will be used depending on the dangerous goods in question.

Check out Appendix G of the Model Code of Practice: Labelling of workplace hazardous dangerous goods for a more comprehensive breakdown of the information required on dangerous goods labels.

WHAT DANGEROUS GOODS LABEL SIZES DO YOU PRINT?

We print 20mm, 50mm, 100mm and 250mm labels as standard, however at Cohesion our high-end machinery is capable of the highest quality dangerous goods label printing in whatever size and material you need, so if you require a custom size please get in touch!

WHAT MATERIAL DO WE USE FOR OUR DANGEROUS GOODS LABELS?

Would you like the short answer or the long answer?

We use any and every material. Adhesive (hot melt and acrylic), laminate, removable, thermal, gloss, matte, paper, polypropylene, metallic… if it can be made into a label, it’s likely in our range.

Ideally the material used will be resistant to the dangerous goods that it labels, to ensure important information can still be read even if a spill occurs. At Cohesion we’re in a position to offer the perfect dangerous goods label for your situation – no matter what the product might be or the danger it might pose, there’ll likely be a material in our range to suit.

WHAT PRODUCTS ARE DANGEROUS GOODS LABELS SUITED FOR?

Generally speaking, any product that is considered hazardous is required to have a dangerous goods label that outlines that hazard. Dangerous goods labels are commonly required on things like oils, paints, gases, acids, fertilisers, fuels, cleaning products and medicines. You can read more about what constitutes a hazardous product or chemical on Safe Work Australia’s website.

Don’t know which dangerous goods label is right for your product, if any? With a wealth of experience in dangerous goods labelling, our friendly team can help you to find out exactly what your responsibilities are!
